How Delivery and Setup Works

Here’s the part people care about most: you don’t tow anything, you don’t back anything in, and you don’t level anything. I drive your rig out from Buffalo — usually a 10 to 15 minute hop depending on which loop you’re booked into — and I do the whole setup. That means I get it onto the pad, level it side to side and front to back, drop the stabilizers, connect water and shore power, and walk you through how everything works before I leave.

A couple of honest, operator-level notes about Schroeder specifically. Shoulder season is the secret here. Late May and again in September, the bugs ease off, the nights cool down, and you’ll often have a whole loop nearly to yourself. What the Weather’s Like Out Here

Things to Do From Your Site

One of the best things about basing at Schroeder is how much sits within an easy drive. You’re close to Buffalo, with the Buffalo Lake waterfront and Sturges Park right in town, and there’s a whole string of Wright County parks and lakes nearby for day trips.

• On the water at Schroeder: Lake Caroline is right there — bring kayaks, a paddleboard, or just fish from shore.
• Lake Maria State Park: a short drive west, with quiet hiking through the Big Woods if you want a real trail day.
• Lake Rebecca Park Reserve & Crow-Hassan Park Reserve: bigger trail systems southeast toward the metro for biking and horseback riding.
• Montissippi County Park: up by Monticello along the Mississippi if you want a river view.
• Buffalo & shopping: Buffalo for groceries and ice, or run down I-94 to the Albertville Premium Outlets on a rainy afternoon.
• Day trip range: Minneapolis-St. Paul and the Mall of America are an easy reach via U.S. 55 or I-94 if you want a city day from your campsite.

Getting Here

Most folks reach Schroeder by coming through Buffalo on U.S. Highway 55 or State Highway 25, then heading northwest on the county roads toward Lake Caroline. If you’re flying in, MSP is the big airport about an hour southeast, and St. Cloud Regional is another option to the north. Since I handle the towing and delivery, you really just need to get yourselves to the park — I take care of the rest.
